Written Meditation

lyrics

I'm sitting here with a little heater at my feet
In a battle with my eyelids 'fore they permanently meet
I'm fishing for some chords, try decipher all the keys
I'm rolling up my cuffs so you can see more of my sleeve
But it's so hard though, 'cause I carry loads of cargo
No man is an island, but I face an embargo
And it doesn't help I live on the land of Mabo
They don't really think you're Aussie if you use a tabo

Eat with your digits then you're pushing your limits
They might label me a cynic in a tweet and then pin it
But I stay cool like linen in the summer
Most people dumb, and some are even dumber
Anyway, I'm just writing as a way to meditate
While monolithic corporations go on steady selling bait
I'm just trying cook up some meals for your thoughts
Or am I just a jester that's dancing in your courts?
